Our mission is driven by the heart to contribute to something greater than ourselves by enabling retailers to make faster, more conscious/considered decisions through a more efficient operating model. We strive to unlock creativity, promote ‘kind fashion’, and lead by example, encouraging more sustainable practices for the benefit of people and the planet.
We serve our guests through our agile product-centric approach and by accelerating potential for the labels, the brands, the market, and the relationships that we create. Our mission is driven by a desire to restore and heal the garment industry’s reputation and to do business and live life in a more conscious and kinder way.
Who We Are
LaLa Land Creative Co. was founded in 2018, by industry veteran and CEO, Amy Powers with a vision to reinvigorate and transform the wholesale apparel business. It’s our mission to raise the bar of creativity, transparency, innovation, and professionalism, while pushing the limits of what is possible in speed-to-market and sustainability. We are LA’s leading fashion design and manufacturing partner, delivering fashion retailers smart, agile, and better apparel solutions. We’re honored to have the opportunity to partner with apparel retailers large and small to support and grow their businesses.

We believe fashion is instinctively about joy, so our goal is to create affordable, trend-right, high-quality product that inspires that feeling of excitement. Creativity, innovation, and strategic design evolution are the backbone of our business. Our talented and experienced design team operates with a full-picture mindset (great quality, great costs, great design, quick-turn). We believe that high level creativity requires a hands-on workspace. Our in-house patternmaking & sampling capabilities allow for spontaneity, inspiration and quick responses that simply cannot be compared to import-only sampling. If you know, you know.

Be Agile - Flexible Manufacturing
While localization (Made in the USA) is our core focus, we have global resources and perspective. One of the benefits of a flexible manufacturing model like ours is that we offer a variety of production solutions based on your needs. Looking to scale? Have time to wait? Need a test-order quick? Manufacturing diversification allows for us to pivot quickly to respond to supply chain disruptions and protect your deliveries.

Located just outside downtown Los Angeles, we’re strategically positioned to collaborate with local partners in the LA apparel business. This rich community is essential to a thriving apparel business at large. We passionately believe that leveraging the domestic apparel business is the key to creating an agile, sustainable, and profitable business in today’s marketplace. Fostering these working relationships has been critical to our success. We all rise together.
What is Kind Fashion?
Our domestic Made in the USA supply chain is super-localized. That means you can rest assured your products aren’t traveling around the globe racking up frequent flyer miles. They are being knit, dyed, cut, sewn, packaged, and shipped all within a 15-mile radius in sunny Los Angeles, California.
Alongside our hyper-localized domestic footprint, we also strive to offer a variety of options in organic and recycled fibers wherever possible.
Most sustainable, conscious apparel in the market is very basic. “Fast fashion”, on the other hand, has a terrible reputation…but we love moving fast! It’s part of our DNA. At LaLa Land, we don’t believe we have to compromise style or speed because we care about the environment and people. We exist to give you the best of both worlds.
We call our unique approach kind fashion. What does that mean? Practicing kind fashion means that as a company we engage with all aspects of our manufacturing process with our main goal being the betterment of our employees, the planet, our retailers, and the consumer.
Kind fashion also means we are giving ourselves grace as we enter this new space in business. Do we do everything perfectly? Certainly, not. but we’re engaged and we are working to change fashion for the future. We believe the reputation of the garment industry can be healed and restored and it’s one of our core commitments to be a part of that process.
